There has been some serious flooding in Minnesota this past week. We haven't had rain like this since 1871, according to the news. There are roads closed in every town, parks flooded out, and cricks are looking like rapid rivers. The lakes are closing, and no boats are allowed to go over the "wake" on those remaining open lakes. 35 counties are even declared in a "state of emergency." Water levels are over 12 feet high in some areas.
And more rain is coming.

This is by the Woolen Mills in Faribault, MN.
I heard the Woolen Mills is so flooded in the lower level, that the water would go over some people's shoulder's. Imagine how it is for short people!

I took this one on our way to AgStar in Mankato. This is highway 14. And this was yesterday morning... it's rained more since.
Crossing my fingers my tiny car makes it through!

This is the White Water Creek that runs through Waterville.
Notice I said CREEK. Not raging river like it appears now.

It almost makes you want to grab your inter tube... but then you realize you wouldn't fit under the bridges!
This is right before O'Leary's bridge.
This is the boat landing.
This lady decided to get in my picture, too.

Me, and my purple running shoes, looking over the new bridge on the trail.
I still had the urge to go tubing down the "new river."
Jack had enough of our 2.32 mile exploration around town.
I hope everyone's ready for more rain today, as that's what's on the radar through the weekend...
When does one start building an ark?
